We’ve been working at Lakeland for 5 years now. We both work in the Distribution Centre at Kendal in the home shopping department. We think our job at Lakeland is to provide our customers with super customer service! Every shift is slightly different and there is a variety of tasks each time we come to work. We could be either picking orders, packing orders or putting the products on the shelves ready for them to be picked by our fellow colleagues.

We both really enjoy the variety of tasks and like to learn new jobs and skills when we can . We started together as Xmas temps doing part time work, as extra hours, as they fitted so well around our other full time jobs. We were then offered a permanent position at the end of the Xmas period. There are a lot of family relatives working on the site and we’re not the only mother/daughter pair, there are brothers and couples too. It’s a diverse range of people on the site and its good to get to know everyone.

My favourite product is the zero water filter jug as it really does make the water taste pure

My favourite product are the toasting tongs which I use every day so I don’t burn my fingers
